Agustin Altimira Music Store sells tickets to Cano, Viñas and Bosch concert

In the daily newspaper "El Barcelonés (Barcelona. 1845)" Thursday May 16, 1850 on pages 1 and 4 is the listing of a guitar concert with three great artists: Antonio Cano, Jose Viñas and Jaime Bosch, as well as some others to be intervening.

2 years before this Antonio Cano and his brother Vicente had performed in Madrid for the Royal Family. In the daily newspaper "El Eco del comercio" on April 27, 1848, n.º 1.711, page 4, is the first mention that this would take place soon. This appears to have taken place in the 1st week of May 1848.

At the bottom of the listing of the concert titles is the mention of the locations where tickets were made available: in the music stores on calle Escudillers, at the Bernareggi piano store at calle Ancha, Agustin Altimira guitar workshop on calle Escudillers and Altimira music store location on calle Santo Domingo, 10, Barcelona.

Besides producing concert guitars since 1825 the Agustin Altimira guitar workshop sold concert tickets also for the venues of Julian Arcas, Trinidad Huerta and even Francisco Tarrega in 1878.

The 8 PM concert was to be held on Thursday May 16, 1850 in the hall at the home of Mr. Biosca.
