Lob 357 mm. This great resonant Violin was made in Markneukirchen, Germany in the first decade of the Ernst Heinrich Roth violin shop, which was founded in 1902. It has a wonderful sound, excellent volume, it's obviously been well played for over 1,000-2,000 hours or more. This was played by a local symphony musician with 40 years experience, he said this: "It has a penetrating power, it has a beautiful tone overall, coloring. The sound is focused." It has a repair label dated 1911.

Fine to Medium grain Spruce highly Flamed two Piece Maple back and matching sides with a beautiful scroll. Fully blocked and lined. It has beautifully executed fluted f holes. It has the original Tailpiece, pegs, nut and fingerboard. This has a New Deluxe Aubert Bridge. The Varnish is Red Brown on a Golden ground, the very common ones from the 1920's have a very different varnish color usually golden brown or antiqued with some red thrown in.
