Violins: 1932 Emile Boulangeot

Lob 356 mm. He was born in 1877 and died in1944 in Asnières, France. Apprenticed to Emile Laurent 1890. Later worked for Gustave Bernardel in Paris from 1893, and for Caressa and Français until 1909. From 1913 he took over the shop of Paul Blanchard in Lyons, succeeding to his appointment to the Lyons Conservatoire. Retired to Asnières 1928, passing the Lyons business to Georges Cone. Produced some 175 violins, seven violas, and 28 cellos. Personal model of fine professional workmanship. Orange-red varnish. Label on this violin: Fait dans l’Atelier / Émile Boulangeot. Lyons, 1932
