Lob 357mm He was born in 1858 in Mirecourt, retired in 1913 Bordeaux, France. Pupil of Didion. Worked with Gand and Bernardel in Paris, from November 1877-May 1878 having produced the violins that are numbered in the handwritten ledger:701-720, 723-724, 729-730, 737-738, 741-743, 746-747, 752-760 for a total of 45 instruments in 6 months. Established a workshop in Lyons in 1890, in the passage de l’Arque in partnership with Justin Diter. Later moved to rue de l’Hôtel de Ville. Dissolved the partnership to move to Bordeaux in 1897. He was then attached to the Maison F. Meynieu at Bordeaux from 1899 to 1913 when he retired. Fine copies of classical Cremonese work with appropriately coloured varnish of high quality. Red varnish. Well made Stradivarius, Guarnerius and Amati models.... An early label reads: Charles Résuche / Élève de Gand et Bernardel de Paris / No.. Lyon 18..
