This was fabricated by the older brother of Rafael Quiles Ballester, whom Fine Fretted String Instruments imported many guitars from between 2002-2005. The father Ricardo Quiles Enrique had worked for Ricardo Sanchis Nacher from 1918-1956, then after the passing away of Ricardo Sanchis, Ricardo Quiles worked for his son, Vicente Sanchis Badia, from 1956-1958. Then he opened up his own shop and with 3 sons and fabricated 500 guitars annually for decades. According to a circa 1965 catalog I have these were over a dozen models that were affordable entry level student guitars to high grade ornate professional instruments. The late Jose Romanillos says in his tome, "The Vihuela and the Spanish Guitar" published in 2002, that Ricardo Quiles Ballester was exporting his production from 1975 onward.
