Lob 357 mm. Very fine to fine grain Spruce Soundboard. Printed Label: W. Aug. Kessler Jr. Geigenbauer Mannheim. Handwritten : No. 63 1897, also branded on the back W. Aug. Kessler Jr Mannheim. In the tradition of Joseph Hel, Jacob Stainer, Phillippus De Philippi, Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi, Sanctus Seraphin in Venice, Paul Bailly in Paris, France and Enrico Rocca, this violin was fabricated with very beautiful bird's eye Maple back, sides and neck.
Mint minus, Original Varnish, which is flaking off on the back, but great sounding violin.
