665 mm Scale, 48 mm Nut. Spruce and Maple, trunk Maple for the back and plain Maple for the sides. Made on Minorca island in the Balearic Islands, the smaller island to the east of Majorca south of Barcelona. Very rare. The label text reads: SE HALLARAN EN CASA DE JUAN GUTIERREZ Y FLORES, EN MAHON CALLE DE LA PLANA No. 37. Now, completely restored with new frets, bone saddle replacing the long metal fret, and bone nut replacing the Ebony nut, original parts included with the instrument. Action at the 12th fret is: 4 /32" on both the 6th and 1st strings. Missing MOP dots now in place at the ends of the bridge. New Rosewood Bridge Pins.

3 transverse braces on the back, all below the sound hole. 2 transverse braces on the soundboard, above and below the soundhole. No fan braces, made in the French style. Solid Spruce liners attaching the sides to the top and back. 18 frets. There is a finely sanded cross brace between the transverse brace below the sound hole and the bridge strap, the bridge strap looks to be made by Arthur A. Dorn.

Repaired by Arthur A. Dorn in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1896. He is a renowned repairman, now documented as to having worked on early C. F. Martin Guitars as well.
